Add Custom CSS Using Theme Customizer

Adding custom CSS is super easy in WordPress as you can add directly from the admin area. There’s no complex procedure and you will be able to see your changes with a live preview instantly.

At the beginning navigate to Appearance -> Customize page. When the customize page opens, scroll down and find ‘Additional CSS’.

Click on Additional CSS and then you will find a small box to write your CSS code in it. As soon as you write valid CSS codes, you will find it automatically applied to your website’s live preview pane.

You can continue writing your codes until you are satisfied. When you are finished coding, don’t forget to click on the ‘Save & Publish’ button placed on the top.

Add Custom CSS Using A Plugin

This first method only allows you to write and save custom CSS for the currently active theme. If you change your theme, you have to write the whole code again. If you don’t want this repetition then this process is for you.

At first, install and activate the Simple Custom CSS plugin from the WordPress repository.

Now navigate to Appearance -> Custom CSS and write down your code. After writing the code don’t forget to click on the ‘Update Custom CSS’ button.
