Responsive Control is a crucial feature of the Ultimate Blocks plugin by which you can control the visibility of any block on different devices. You can show them on all devices if you want, or hide a block for certain devices.
In this section, we’ll explain how to use the Responsive Control feature of the Ultimate Blocks plugin.
Find the Responsive Control Feature #
You’ll get the Responsive Control feature with all the blocks of the plugin. For example, we have used the Review block in this documentation to explain the process.
Select the block first. Go to the Settings tab on the right sidebar. You’ll get the Responsive Control option below.
Use the Responsive Control Option #
Expand the Responsive Control option by clicking the arrow sign. You will see three options:
- Hide on Desktop
- Hide on Tablet
- Hide on Mobile
By default, blocks are displayed on all devices. For any particular device, if you want to turn off a block, toggle on the hide option for it.
Suppose, we have hidden the block for tablet devices.
Preview the Responsive Control on the Frontend #
Go to the frontend of the page. Start narrowing it along the edge of the page. You will see, the block will disappear as soon as it comes to tablet screen size and it will come back again when brought to mobile and desktop mode.
Thus, you can easily configure the Control Responsive option for all the blocks of the Ultimate Blocks plugin.
Conclusion #
Naturally, when the display size is small, you want to remove some extra content and information to keep the screen looking clean. Showing a lot of information on a small screen size can create a negative user experience.
Now, you can easily do that by using this responsive control option. You don’t have to put in any extra effort to create a pixel-perfect design either.
