How To Add An FAQs Section In WordPress (Gutenberg Block)

Having a Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) section on your WordPress site helps visitors to solve their common problems and concerns. It’s very essential for product or service pages.

As Google has started showing FAQ Schema in Google SERPs, more and more people started adding FAQs to their WordPress posts/pages.

If you want to add an FAQ section to your WordPress site, you are in the right place. Here I’ll show you how to do it using a WordPress plugin.

Before moving further, let’s have an insight into FAQs.

What Is A FAQs Section?

FAQs generally stand for Frequently Asked Questions. And a FAQs Section is a part of a page filled with commonly asked questions and answers to those questions.

Having this section means you are aware of the concerns of your customers and you want to provide them better experiences. It also helps the customer support team to reduce the workload.

How To Add FAQs Section Using Ultimate Blocks

As Ultimate Blocks offers the simplest way of adding FAQs to your WordPress posts/pages, we will be using this plugin.

In the very first step, you need to install the plugin. It’s a free plugin and you can install it directly from your WordPress dashboard.

Just go to WordPress Dashboard > Plugins > Add New and search for ‘Ultimate Blocks’ (1).

The very first result will be the Ultimate Blocks. Then just click on ‘Install Now’ and activate the plugin. (2)

Once you’ve activated the plugin, now it’s time to add FAQs Section.

Ultimate Blocks plugin has a ‘Content Toggle’ block that allows you to add content in accordions.

Just go to the page or post where you want to add the FAQs section and then insert the ‘Content Toggle’ block.

Once you drop the block, you’ll get an interface like this –

You’ll add a question on the ‘Panel Title’ and answer under it.

As it’s a nested block, you can add images, videos, or anything into this block.

You can change title color, container color, border, and initial state.

You can add more accordions by clicking on the ‘+’ sign.

You can enable the ‘FAQ Schema’ from the right-hand side of the editor.

So you can have a FAQs section like this by using the Ultimate Blocks plugin.

    Hi!

I am combining the content filter and content toggle to build a fairly cumbersome FAQ page – love how they work together! My only question, is there a way to integrate these with a keyword search bar option as well?

Great plugin – thank you for your support!

No, we don’t have the search bar option yet. We might add a search bar in the ‘Content Toggle’ block.

Hi, is there a way to connect the FAQ schema with the table of contents? I set H3 as the header tag in the content toggle, but the TOC (from ultimate blocks as well) is not picking it up. Any advise?

      Hi Jayendra,

It seems you’ve used separate content toggle block for each faq.

It’s recommended to use all FAQs in a single content toggle block.

You can easily do that by click on the plus (+) sign under each accordion. (Please see the attached screenshot).

I hope it will solve the problem.

Please feel free to reach out if you face any further issues.
