When you add an item to your WordPress site menu, it appears as a link by default. But what if you want to show a menu item that is not available right now (like a Coming Soon Pricing Page)?
In that case, you can make your menu item not clickable. If you’re wondering, how to do it in WordPress, you’re in the right place.
Here I’ll show how to make a menu item not clickable in WordPress.
Making A Menu Item Not Clickable In WordPress
It’s pretty easy. Just follow these simple steps.
Step 1: Open Editor
First, navigate to the Appearance -> Editor and click on Template Parts.
Step 2: Edit Header
Click on Header.
Now, click on the menu item that you want to make nonclickable.
Step 3: Make The Menu Item Non Clickable
When you click on an item, you will see its customization options above. Click on the Link and then the Edit button.
Now on the URL field, place a ‘#’ and hit submit icon.
Finally, click on the save button on the top right.
It will not be clickable anymore. Visitors won’t be taken to a different tab if they click on that item.
