What Is A Tagline?

There are two ways to do it. One is to change the tagline from the settings, and another is to do it from the theme customizer.

Both ways are easy and effective; you can do it either way. For you, I am showing you both ways.

Change Tagline Using WordPress’s Settings

To change the ‘Just another WordPress site’ text, easily navigate to Settings -> General. Now, you will see the tagline field there.

Now you can either clear the checkbox or you can set your own tagline at that field. For example, I have used ‘The #1 Gutenberg Blocks Plugin For Bloggers’ tag on my website.

When you are done writing or clearing the tag, don’t forget to click on the Save button.

Now, you will notice that your website’s tagline is changed.

Change Tagline Using Customizer

To change tagline with Customizer navigate to Appearance -> Customize from your WordPress dashboard.

Now look for ‘Site Identity’ and click it.

If you can’t find the site identity tab, expand other tabs. Because some themes keep it in other tabs. For instance, the Astra theme keeps it in the Header tab.

Now on the Tagline field, write your tagline and click on the publish button.

You are done changing the tagline of your website.
