We, as humans, always tend to be skeptical about things, especially if it is something new to us.
What was your reaction when you first heard that you could earn money online? Of course, you would have been skeptical.
The only way to not be skeptical is to see others tell you that you could do it and then have them prove it to you. It’s the same with making money online. You probably didn’t start until you saw people like Pat Flynn & Harsh Agrawal sharing their income reports to show you what is possible.
Testimonials help you do the same for your site.
You need it whenever you ask someone to take any action, such as signing up to your email list or buying your product/service.
Displaying your testimonials in a good way isn’t an easy job. In this post, you are going to discover different WordPress plugins you can use to help you streamline the process and make it look good.
But first, let’s go over the importance of testimonials.
3 Reasons Why You Should Use Testimonials
Having testimonials helps you have 3 advantages over not having it:
- Social Proof – This is what we were discussing in the intro. Having proof helps you move people from being skeptical to being reassured that what you are sharing is going to work for them and that they should give it a try
- Conversions – Having people reassured that what you are sharing is going to work will help you get more signups to your email list, more people to buy your course, or more people to buy your products.
- Trustability – Having social proof also demonstrates your credibility, thus increasing the trust between you and a potential customer. This helps you gain their trust with their hard-earned money.
So, having testimonials is very important to your business, but how to add them on your pages in a good way to demonstrate your authority and credibility that’s what you are going to discover in this post.
Let’s check the list first.
1. Thrive Ovation
Thrive Ovation is a powerful plugin that helps you collect testimonials and share them beautifully on your page.
Created by Thrive Themes (the company behind Thrive Architect, Thrive Leads, and more), you can expect this plugin to be of high quality.
So, what can you do with this plugin?
You can easily get testimonials from various places with the click of a button. You can easily grab testimonials from your social media pages by seamlessly integrating them with your social media accounts. With the click of a button, you can easily import all the data that you need, like their name and image, and display it as you want without the hassle of copying and pasting things.
You can also manage all the testimonials available in one dashboard instead of different platforms. This makes it easier to manage things and to save you time. Not to mention, there are different designs and templates available and the amount of customization you can apply to help suit your needs.
You can get access to all this for $19/month with all Thrive Themes products. Yes, you need to pay some money, but it is worth it if you are serious about your testimonials and want to boost your conversions.
2. Real Testimonials
Real Testimonials is one of the best WordPress Testimonials Showcase Plugins that is updated with the latest web technologies. It comes up with optimum designs and highly customizations. It allows you to display testimonials, reviews, or quotes in multiple ways on any page or widget with simple shortcodes.
It also offers responsive layouts and 100+ customization options. In addition, it quickly generates shortcodes with 200+ Visual Customisation Options. It is also compatible with any theme and plugins.
Each testimonial includes different content types, such as Image, Video, testimonial title, tagline, content, rating star, reviewer position, company name, location, mobile or telephone, E-mail, date, website URL, social profile links, and much more.
In short, Testimonial Pro is the complete solution for Testimonials Showcase on your website to promote your business at an infinite scale.
The plugin has both a free and premium version. You can download the free version from the WordPress repository. You can get the premium version for $39 for one site, $29 for five sites, or $39 for unlimited sites. All plans are included for lifetime support and updates.
3. Strong Testimonials
A powerful plugin was created by Chris Dillon. You can access it for free from the WordPress directory.
This plugin is simple to use if you want just the simple stuff of adding testimonials and customizing it on your own. With over 100k installations, this plugin proves to be a good one to trust.
You can easily create a form to help you collect testimonials with anti-spam measures. You could then notify admins to embed the testimonial easily.
You could also optimize how your testimonials look using the CSS code.
There are pro features you can add, like having multiple forms, adding review markup to improve your click-through rate on search engines, assigning testimonials to different pages/posts to streamline the process, plus more features.
4. Ultimate Blocks
Ultimate Blocks is a Gutenberg blocks plugin that comes with a dedicated testimonial block. It’s very easy to use. Just insert the ‘Testimonial’ block and then add a testimonial, name, designation, and image. You can change the background color and font color. You can also change the font size.
Ultimate Blocks comes with other essential blocks like Table of Contents, Tabbed Content, Image Slider, Click to Tweet, Button, and more.
5. WP Testimonial Slider & Showcase
WP Testimonial Slider & Showcase offers a great way to display the testimonials left by clients. Not only is it mobile-friendly and 100% responsive, but it is also very versatile.
It comes with 30 awesome layouts, including grid, slider, isotope, and video. With an unlimited shortcode generator, it allows you to control the rows and columns. It also supports pagination.
The great thing about the plugin is, it offers smooth submissions and control of all fields. The plugin has a free version in WordPress.org.
6. Testimonials Showcase
Sold on CodeCanyon by an elite author, this plugin is another one to look into when deciding which plugin to use.
It helps you display your testimonials in a grid or as a slider, and you can customize it as you want. There is also a star rating system.
You could also create a front-end submission form to make it easy for users to submit their testimonials.
7. WP Testimonials With Rotator Widget
WP Testimonials With Rotator Widget was created by the team at WP Online Support.
The plugin helps you have a front-end submission form various customizable options (20 slider designs and 20 grid designs), and you could even add your custom CSS code.
The tool is a great one to have.
Although, I won’t suggest you get it if you don’t use the other plugins available at WP Online Support as you will need to pay for all the plugins there. It is available at a low fee of $89 for 1 site, but it’s something to consider if you won’t use all the tools available there.
8. Solid Testimonial
GS Testimonial Slider is provided by the team at GS Plugins.
There is a free version available, but I won’t recommend it as it lacks many of the necessary features you can find in other free plugins listed here.
The premium plugin, however, is a different story. You have all the main features like front-end form submission, various styles to choose from, star rating system, order options, and so on.
Priced at $30 for 1 site, but it is pricey when buying it for multiple sites. The 5-site license is at $135 compared to $49 for Thrive Ovation which has more features.
9. Testimonial Elementor Widget
This is my new favorite widget created by the Elementor team. And as you guessed, it only works with the Elementor page builder.
But you don’t need to pay extra for it like the DP testimonials slider.
It is already available in the package when you purchase the Elementor page builder.
When it comes to design, no tool can come close to it.
With the customization you can do with the page builder, you are guaranteed to make it suit your site.
You can grab it with the page builder for only 50 bucks. If you are planning on getting the page builder, then look no further and use the tool available with it for free.
10. Soliloquy
If you want a premium tool that’s simple to use, then this tool might be what you are looking for.
Advocated by Bill Erickson (a famous WP developer) and Mark Jaquith (a lead developer in the WordPress team), then you know this tool is up to something.
It is a simple drag-and-drop design style that makes it easy to add and remove what you want from the slider. You could use it on specific pages or posts as you specify, so you don’t need to add it to every post. Just check out the ones you want it to appear at, and that is it.
You could also use it as a slider to automatically display your images from Instagram or Pinterest, or you can add your own. Everyone raves about their responsive carousel.
Check out their post, How to Create a Customer Testimonial Slider in WordPress, to see how you can create testimonials using their plugin.
11. Easy Testimonials
Created by the Gold Plugins team, this is yet another great tool.
As the name states, they try to make it easy to add testimonials.
You could easily add random testimonials to places like the sidebar or any page. You could also make the testimonials fade or appear in a slider and easily organize themes in categories.
Conclusion: Which One to Choose?
Testimonials are very important to grow your blog and your business.
There are many tools available to help you create those good-looking testimonials. This post showed you the top ones.
If you are looking for the best tool to use overall, then go with Thrive Ovation. You can have all the features you need, and it is not priced so high.
If you already use the Divi page builder, then use the DP Testimonials Slider.
If you use Elementor or are planning to use it, then look no further from their awesome Testimonial Carousel Widget.
If you are looking for the best free tools, there are many to choose from in this post, so it will be a little subjective based on what you need and what feels best for you and your business.
But for me, I’d go with the Strong Testimonials plugin since I find it easy to use, and it has many of the features available in other plugins.
Tell us in the comments below which one you are going with and why. Also, tell us if you have any experience with other plugins we didn’t mention in the post.
