Embed Google Reviews Using Widget for Google ReviewsPlugin

You can embed Google Reviews in different ways; you can use custom coding or plugins. Coding can be difficult; therefore, it is better to use a plugin. Here, I am going to use Widget for Google Reviews Plugin. 

Step 1: Install The Widget for Google Reviews Plugin

First, navigate to Plugins -> Add New Plugins. Search for ‘Widgets for Google Reviews’. 

Install the plugin, and don’t forget to activate it. 

Step 2: Get Place ID

Navigate to Google Maps Platform and get your Place ID. All you have to do is search for your place name and then copy the place ID. 

Step 3: Connect to Google Platform

It’s time to connect to Google Platform. From your WordPress dashboard, navigate to Trustindex.io. Hit the ‘connect’ button. 

A pop-up will occur. Here, place your your place ID. 

Step 4: Select Review Layout

Here, you have several layouts, and you can choose any layout you want. 

Just click on the ‘Select’ button next to a layout, and your review layout will be selected. 

Step 5: Select Review Style

There are multiple review styles available. Choose the review style that best suits your website. 

Click on the ‘Select’ button next to any review style. 

Step 6: Customize Review Widget Behavior

After setting the style, you will have to configure how your widget will behave. These settings come with filter rating, language, date format, alignment, review text, and other show-hide options. 

Customize as you like later hit the ‘Save and get code’ button. 

Step 7: Embed Google Reviews

As you hit the save button, you will get a shortcode. Click on the ‘Copy to clipboard’ button, and your shortcode will be copied. 

Now, open the page post, where you want to embed Google Reviews. 

Click on the ‘Add New block’ button and search for ‘shortcode. 

Insert the block by clicking on it. Now paste the shortcode that you copied earlier, inside the blank field. 

Click on the publish or update button, and you will see your review in action.
