Well, in this case, you can display estimated post reading time. A thousand Word post may look long, but when you see it will take 2-3 minutes you will give it a try. If you don’t know how to display estimated post reading time, then there’s nothing wrong with it.

How To Display Estimated Post Reading Time In WordPress

First, you have to navigate to Plugins -> Add New and then search for Reading Time WP. Now install this plugin and make sure you activate it. 

After activation navigate to Settings -> Reading Time WP page. At here you will see the settings page. Customize the settings for displaying estimated post reading time in WordPress. 

At here you can customize the reading time label, time postfix, time postfix singular, Word per minute. By default, the plugin calculated 300 words to be read per minute. By default the plugin show this reading time information in every post, if you don’t want to show reading time next to each post, then you have to uncheck ‘Insert reading time before content’ and ‘insert reading time before excerpt’ option. 

If you want to display estimated post reading time manually then you can take the help of short codes. 

[rt_reading_time label="Reading Time:" postfix="minutes" postfix_singular="minute"]

Or simply use

[rt_reading_time] 

to return the number with no labels.
