Here is a step-by-step guide to adding a team member section in WordPress. If you follow the steps properly, you will be able to create one for your website in no time.

Step 1: Install the Team Member Block WordPress Plugin

To add a team member section in WordPress, we must install the Team Member Block plugin. For that, go to your dashboard. Navigate to Plugins (1) > Add New Plugins (2) > Team Member Block (3) > Install Now(4).

After installing the plugin, you must activate the it by clicking the Activate Button (1).

Step 2: Insert Team Member Block

Head to your post or page where you want to add a team member section.

Insert the “Team Member” block in the Gutenberg editor by clicking the (+) button (aka Add Block) (1). Now type Team Member inside the box (2) and click the Team Member block (3).

When the block is inserted in the block editor, it will look like the image below.

Step 3: Add Team Member’s Details

You can input the team member’s details from the front in the editor.

To Insert the image of your team member, you must select the block. Then, navigate to Settings (1) > Block (2) > General (3)> Conent (4).

Now, click delete button to delete the default image, and click the Upload Image to upload and select your own image.

At the end, you may want to add links for your team memeber’s social media links. To do that, scroll down a bit, and selec the Social Profiles options in the General Tab of the Block.

You can add more social networks by clicking the Plus button. You will also find some other options to delete and organize the social network serial.

To add the social media links, select the dedicated social media name (1) in the Social Profiles option and input the link of your team member’s social network (2). If you want you can customize the icon color and background.

If you want to add multiple team memebers in the team member section, you must insert the column block first in the Gutenberg block editor of the post or page.

Select the shown variation in the image below to insert team member blocks. This variation is capable of showing up to 3 team members.
