Great block plugin and indeed I also am interested in this content filter. wonder what are the potential components for ‘filter name’ among popular values like ‘tag’, ‘category’, and many ‘custom field’s. I am testing it now, and it looks like ‘tag’, but wonder it also works with categories and/ or any other custom meta values. If it is based on ajax search, I believe a variety of values can be good candidates.

Sorry plz remove the question above. I just figured it out. It’s not about filtering posts, it is more like tabbed contents within a post. Still, it fits to many of my needs. Thank you so much for your team’s hard work!

    Very cool feature!

Question: There is the option to “Match all filters” vs “Match any filter”

Is there anything planned to distinguish between categories? Example, it must match any in Category A; and any in Category B?

Right now with any, a content-piece would be shown if it matches anything in A and none of what is selected in B?
    e.g., A = Italy, Spain, France, B = Hotel, Restaurant, Bar

If I chose “Italy” and “Bar” it would also show me all Italian Hotels & Restaurants

Hi Jue! “Match all filters” is the option you’re looking for. We currently have the “Match any” option as the default for the Content Filter block, which would show any panel that has at least one of the selected tags. With “Match all filters”, all selected tags would need to be present in a panel to make it appear. So in your example, if you choose only “Italy” with the “Match all filters” option, panels with any (or even none) of the tags in the second category will show up as long as it has the “Italy” tag. After clicking on “Bar”, only panels with both the “Italy” and “Bar” tags would appear.

        Hi Alexis,

thank you. Very much understood, and I think my example was not perfectly clear.

Let’s say we have also a category for type of bar (cocktail, gin, wine, …)

In case I want to see all bars being cocktail or gin, but not wine – then neither filter would work.

But basically, you have given the answer – I could only decide what makes more sense of those 2 filters and decide what is more appropriate to be as close as possible to the results.

Hi Jue! It’s possible to select two filters from the same category to a panel. Under the list of tags, you can see a checkbox for “Allow multiple selections”. If you click it, you’ll be able to add more than one tag from the category to any panel while on the editor and select any of the filters within the category on the frontend. It’s not yet perfectly working on the frontend when “Match all” is active, but we hope that we could fix it in the next version of the plugin to fit your use case.

Hi, how can i show posts from only a specific filter (category) initially instead of using “Initially show all content panels” which actually shows ALL of my posts from all categories?
I am planning to use this content filter feature as my home page to show all my posts filtered by categories.
Thanks for such a wonderful plugin

No, you should instead use ‘Tabbed Content’ block for that.

I am really impressed with the blocks that have been created, but I did notice that the Notification Box Block is no longer in the toolset which is a shame because for affiliate marketers we have to place some sort of notification on our posts for Amazon and this was a great option for that.
I have had to convert my site to using a CSS version of the notification box as a result.

      Hi James,

We have moved ‘Notification Box’ to ‘Styled Box’ block. You’ll find the notification box under the ‘Styled Box’ block.

      Thanks
